Should we tax the money you make or tax the money you spend?

It is becoming increasingly impossible to ignore the fact that over-consumption in our society is bad for our health, economy and environment. So, why does it seem the federal government is more interested in taxing productivity than consumption?

I say we not punish Canadians for working hard and building their savings. One way or another, we each have to hand in our slice, but I’d rather pay at the cash register than have the government cutting into my paycheque.

Cut income taxes, not the GST.
